Advocacy and Networking

Katalemwa participates actively in policy lobbying and advocacy to influence policy formulation and implementation for the benefit of children with disabilities. We ensure that concerns of childhood disability are attended to at all levels and by all sectors guided by our advocacy and lobbying strategy. We join efforts with DPOs, other child actors in Uganda and Parents support groups to raise a common voice to the support of children with disabilities. We do this through; community sensitization activities, awareness raising and educational campaigns, disseminating Information Education Communication materials (IECs), media engagements, participating on National dialogues, commemoration of International disability days.

KCH also works towards building strategic connections with Government and other stakeholders in the civil society movement and as well as improving our public image and relations. These networks contribute to our expertise through sharing skills, knowledge and experiences for better performance.
