At KCH we are working towards self-sustainability to ensure that we can continue to provide these important services to CWDs with less reliance on external pressures. This involves a number of income generating activities.
The KCH farm consists of poultry, cows and pigs which produce eggs, milk and pork to meet the nutritional needs of the children and provide additional income to the home.
KCH also has a guest house where staff, interns and guests can stay for a fee. Income from the guesthouse is reinvested into the home and its programs.
Other sources of income include the orthopaedic workshop, parent contributions and the Early Learning Centre.
KCH is always looking for new ways to achieve self-sustainability. If you have any ideas or expertise to contribute, please get in contact. We’d love to hear from you.
